Firefly is operated by FlyFirefly Sdn Bhd which formerly called as MAS Sdn Bhd. This company is owned 100% by Malaysian Airlines System Berhad (MAS) which is launched in 2007. This airline is called as Firefly (in mandarin called as ‘fei ying’ and ‘kunang-kunang’ in Bahasa Malaysia) which is bring meaning of agility, brilliance, charm, and fun that is corresponding with the airline’s characteristic. Although Firefly is one of the MAS subsidiary, both of the company operated differently in term of management from each other.
